Other light sources can cure as well, but only the LED can cure out BLUFIXX perfectly. Hold the LED as close as possible to the processed area without touching it.
BLUFIXX is a universal repair gel for fixing, repairing and modeling. It's getting instantly hard through the LED-light. BLUFIXX can't be compared to superglues:
To completely cure, the LED light needs to reach the Gel 100%.
Tip: "Cover" the two non-transparent single pieces at their breakpoints with BLUFIXX. This means you fix both pieces and cover the break with BLUFIXX. Now the LED can fully cure the plastic and you reach the desired strength.
This depends of course on the desired application. A 5g BLUFIXX cartridge offers about 120 drops, which corresponds on average to 50-120 applications, depending on the application. You can fix a pipe damage with one tube, for cable cracks can be repaired about 15 times.
The Gel in the cartridge lasts for about 5 years from the 1st use. BLUFIXX needs to be stored protected from light at room temperature. It may happen after a longtime storage that the gel turns slightly yellowish. The BLUFIXX Repair Gel, unlike glue, does not harden or dry when in contact with air. Requisite is a light-protected storage.
Store BLUFIXX well-sealed in a cool and dry place and protect the product from moisture and dirt, heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature: 4 ° C to 40 ° C (40 ° F to 104 ° F).
Make sure that the LED illuminates the applied Gel completely. Otherwise the Gel won't cure.
Under regular use BLUFIXX requires about 3-10 seconds to cure. Curing out the colored Gel can take a few seconds longer.
BLUFIXX offers two separate product lines for perfect results on the respective surface: BLUFIXX MGS for Metal, Glass and Stone, and BLUFIXX PW for Plastic and Wood.
Basically BLUFIXX is suitable for all plastics. However, there may be differences in the adhesion of different plastics, so it is advisable to roughen the surface.
BLUFIXX MGS and BLUFIXX PW comes in 6 colors each: clear (transparent), white, light brown, red brown, dark brown and black. For best color results, the colors can also be mixed (for example MGS "black" with MGS "white" for marble texture).
That's easy: Apply BLUFIXX in layers. Each layer should not be thicker than 2mm (0.08”) and cured out individually.
The tensile shear force for BLUFIXX MGS is as follows:
Glass-glass greater 5.2 N / mm²
Aluminum glass greater than 6.3 N / mm²
Steel glass larger 7.2 N / mm²
You can make a "glass panel" by applying BLUFIXX to a material that does not connect with. For this purpose, silicone film is perfect. Depending on the size, make sure that the material does not warp. We recommend holding the LED from a wider distance first when curing cure only the surface. Then cure completely.
As stated in the product leaflet, skin irritation and allergic reactions may occur. BLUFIXX, however, is classified as "not corrosive". Therefore, if allergies to acrylates (or similar) are present, it is not recommended to work with this product.
Adhesives in general is an adhesive that are used to rejoin two perfectly matched parts. Glue cannot replace broken pieces and cannot model like a 3D material. Also, adhesives cure quickly in the air and require pressure to function. BLUFIXX has also adhesive properties, but the key difference is: BLUFIXX is a gel that repairs, replaces, models and isolates. And thanks to the LED you decide, when!
The idea for BLUFIXX comes from the dental technology, but we advise against any application in the mouth. There is currently no food test for BLUFIXX.
We do not have a food and feed law test (LFGB) for BLUFIXX. This test tells you whether materials are migrating from the adhesive and, if so, whether they are in a harmful concentration. Therefore, there is no comprehensive information as to whether BLUFIXX will be problematic for fishes when cured. In case of doubt please don't use BLUFIXX.
Yes, BLUFIXX can be dyed with acrylic powder before curing. Pick up the colored powder with the tip of a toothpick and mix with a drop of BLUFIXX. It can take several seconds longer to cure. Apply any layers thin.

Yes, you achieve a steady adhesion, depending on the surface structure. However, the surface should only be wet, not greasy. For example, you can bond objects in a filled glass container.
Yes, BLUFIXX is excellent for extremely small surface connections out almost all materials. Apply enough layers to achieve sufficient stability according to your expectations or constructions.
Yes, the layering option allows you to overlap and sheath. As a result, strength and stability are significantly improved or even made possible.
Yes, BLUFIXX is a perfect insulation material for low voltage applications. Please note that BLUFIXX is not a substitute for a solder and should not be used with heavy current.

No, the exposure to the LED is essential to cure BLUFIXX, One of both parts needs to be 100% transparent.
Yes, BLUFIXX is made for sealing nearly all kind of materials! Apply & Cure in layers and make sure that the defect is completely and generously covered by the first layer. Further layers improve the result.
Please check the composition of your surface. BLUFIXX is not suitable for the following materials: PP, PT, PTFE and POM. These surfaces can't work with BLUFIXX due to their low surface structure.
Yes, BLUFIXX can be finished later by all common measures: Sand, drill, paint or polish it! Use any kind of abrasive tools.
Yes, BLUFIXX is resistant to water!
BLUFIXX is not resistant to these substances. On prolonged contact with strong alcohol BLUFIXX gets jelly-like or brittle.
The sticky layer (also called dispersion layer) after curing is typical. You can polish it off (we recommend polishing files for fingernails) or wipe it away with a damp cloth or some oil. You can also use nail polish remover.
BLUFIXX is very difficult to remove when cured. Try following:
- Put alcohol on a cotton pad and place it onto the affected area. Cover the back of the cotton with foil so that the alcohol can't evaporate. Wait for about 1-2 hours. Potions may be mixed with alcohol several times. The concentrated alcohol makes the cured Gel jelly-like. Depending on how thick you have applied BLUFIXX, extend the application time.
- We recommend a ceramic hob scraper. Give a short impulse from the side and BLUFIXX releases.
When used properly, BLUFIXX hardens to a hard finish, comparable to Plexiglass. It is not stretchy or elastic. Temperature changes always depend on the size and size of the repaired area. If you have already bought BLUFIXX, give it a try!

BLUFIXX is 100% waterproof after curing. Make sure the connection is strong enough to withstand the pressure in the dishwasher.
The cured BLUFIXX Gel can be permanently exposed to sunlight. Under certain circumstances, however, it may happen that the color changes slightly yellowish.
